Hi
Can anyone tell what this is called. Its attached below the horn and other end is attached to the coil via a wire.
Horn stops working when detached, now its stopped working completely so probably need a new one.
But need to know what its called?
Thanks

It's a surpressor, 1 Microfarad. It is used to suppress interference on radios. I have never seen one fitted to a horn; and disconnecting it should not stop the horn from working.

This is a small capacitor which stores electricity and releases it in one large burst then recharges. Also known as a condenser it stabilises a voltage supply to a component.

It looks like a capacitor/condenser, if connect to the coil it could be to suppress interference on a radio. May only be connected next to horn as easy to mount on horn fixing.
If horn has stopped working check fuse with mauve wires as one of these connected to horn the other to interior light.

Thanks for your replies.
Both the horn and Windscreen washer have stopped working, the interior light is fine.
I might just rip the horn out and start again.

Both are on different fuses - so not a 'common' problem..and nothing to do with that capacitor which you can safely throw away!
