Importing a Minor from New Zealand

I've brought my Minor over from NZ and it has been approved/cleared by customs and I have a NOVA reference. The next step is to get an MoT and register it. As part of first registration in the UK I have to provide the original NZ registration document, which I won't get back.

Assuming I don't have the original NZ registration document, apparently I can send in "a dating certificate from the manufacturer or other acceptable source" - Can the MMOC provide some kind of proof to help out?

My car is a 1962 Morris Minor 1000, 4-door, Old English White, MAS3 922053, originally 948cc but now 1275cc
First registered in NZ on 2 Feb 1962.

I have documents with my family name on them dating back to 1972

Has it been allocated a NZ 17 digit VIN - usually on a small plate affixed to the firewall?

DVLA may question the NZ chassis plate - states Cowley despite clearly CKD - no "/" between the M/A? aka the former.

Confused?

So, I finally have a shiny new MOT for my imported Moggie, but in the meantime I've LOST the blimmin original registration document!
I now really do have to get a dating certificate from "the manufacturer or other acceptable source".
I have a scanned copy of the original, but the original has since disappeared.

Can the MMOC help with proving its age?

Cheers
Richard
