I am about to treat a few cars with cavity wax, I have some waxoyl knocking around but not enough to do all so i was after suggestions for products, I have seen dintrol and bilthammer dynax S-50 advertised are they as good as claimed, both the cars have a few rusty spots so i need something to slow down the existing spots.

I mix my waxoyl with engine oil. Of course you can get better products but it will still last year's then just reapply. I would treat all rust spots. If its bubbling in places rub that back and use a rust treatment then paint that bit. Do this on all the rust you can be bothered with concentrating on the high wear areas then waxoyl over. I'm sure others can help with the better products.

i use rustbusters products, in particular their dinitrol cavity wax as it's thin and gets everywhere. applied properly with a compressor and mister.

I have just been treating my new (old) Astra with Dyntax as I have been pleased with the product on other vehicles, including the Morris
Have plenty of trays and tins ready to catch the excess that will run out of the drain holes!

Thanks all, the place on my beetle thats started to go is the bit by the air vent under the rear screen in the roof gutter and today i found i can get my hand to it with the boot lid up, and it does feel rusty inside like its never had paint at all

Both Dinitrol and Bilthamber are good, and if you need it really runny you can thin with a drop of white spirit further so it really will penetrate the seams.

The thing that really makes the job is the proper pressurised injection gun, of course you need a compressor but to blast the stuff in with 100psi behind it really works.

I have pumped the car full of it, everywhere, was dripping out for days so lots of old cardboard boxes flatened out underneath to soak the drips up.

Add white spirit - mix well - heat up in a bucket of boiling water, and spray in on a nice warm day. As above - be ready to catch the drips !

Thanks both i have my eye on a 5ltr jerrycan of dynax-s50 for about £45 but it should do quite alot, and thanks for the tip about the cardboard i normally have plenty knocking about.
