Headlining fitting - wire tensioning

Post by GeoffCreamer »

I need help to understand the headlining tensioning wire routing for my 1955 S2 2 door car. There was no headlining fitted but I have picked up 2nd hand hoops and Newtons will supply the lining. I have some poor photos of the wire fixings under the dash and rear corner. Trouble is, I cannot find any holes in the bodywork where the wires can be threaded through to reach these fixing screw points. Perhaps this car had the older cardboard headlining? A couple of good photos would really help if anyone has a car in a suitable state and I may have to drill some access holes. Also a photo of the rear (small) window too showing how the tensioning works there would be a great help. Thanks to all, Geoff
