National Rally 2016 - What a weekend!

Post by A-Series Spares »

Hi Guy's,

I am sat in the office after a a wonderfully hectic weekend at Catton Hall, we have now unloaded the small amount of remaining stock, the cars are basking in the sun and it is back to work as normal.

I thought i would just write a quick overview / review of the event. Having not been to one for I believe 4 years.

Firstly, the event got a massive thumbs up from all the staff here, fantastic weekend, very friendly, well organised and with enough going on that the damp weather on Friday and Saturday was soon forgotten, of course Sunday was capped off by the fact the weather was glorious.

Really nice displays of cars, nice food, great drink, incredible music.

We experienced nothing but praise for the products, displays and vehicles we took with us and managed to introduce our selves to many new faces and meet some familiar faces.

We almost sold out of all the stock that we took with us and handed out close to 500 discount cards for customers to use on our website throughout the next week. (if you didn't get one please PM me)

Our one, tiny little niggle (and to be fair, when we arrived on the Friday it was VERY WET, to it was possibly a case of first come first served and working around the puddles) but one tiny little niggle is that it might be nice is the Traders we closer to the arena as it would be nice to see the show and there would be more awareness of the traders. Perhaps behind the trade village have the auto jumble?

A really fun weekend and we look forward to the next one :)[frame]Image[/frame]

I didn't spot you at all over the weekend?!

But thanks a million for providing a set of wheel studs for my Minor this morning after we discovered the replacement ones we'd got off the internet were the wrong size (despite research). Didn't fancy a 140mile trip tomorrow on just 3. Life savers! :)

You are very welcome, I hope Paul and the guys looked after you :)

We arrived quite late on Friday night so we were positioned around the back. A great weekend had though.

Safe motoring when you do head off :)

Glad you enjoyed the event. It really is a case of not being able to please all of the people all of the time - when the traders were positioned closer to the arena at a previous rally there were complaints about the noise form the arena being too intrusive, and could they be put further away. The layouts do chnage over the years to suit different venues, so you might be close another time, but if you've got time to watch other things then you can't be working hard enough

No that's a fair comment, We did spend most of both days chatting to people about potential future works etc so i suppose being too close to the arena would've hindered that. All in all though a fantastic show and infact i have just got off the phone to a customer from the show so it has been positive all round :)

Thanks for having us
