Door handle spring

I saw a thread on this some years ago but cannot find it now. I have taken the door handle mechanism out and find the spring has broken.[frame]

Cannot seem to find a part number for it. Part is missing so cannot even make one.

Is it for a 4 door Minor? If so which side? I think we have a box of new complete units in the club stocks. If so you can have one for £5 plus post.Please email reply to

Bryan, this is a component that has broken on every door that I've ever stripped, and is a part that I believe is needed. If you have some good stock, then could you retain patterns so that we can look at remanufacture. Thanks. Are they handed, or is it the same part for each side?
Does anyone else want to come in and ask for some to be made?
