Hi, can anyone tell me what constituted a toolkit for a 1970 salon. My car has a jack & starting/jack handle (painted red) stored In a black felt cover.
Should there be anything else such as a hub cap remover etc?
Thanks
Mike

Yes, there should be a hubcap remover (not much more than a piece of bent steel really!) and, I think they still had the spark plug spanner in 1970? Maybe the handbook will tell you if you have that?

Many minors yes I have the original handbook give to the first owner. Unfortunately it does not refer to a toolkit but does mention a hubcap remover in the " removing a wheel" piece. So I would assume there should be one present.
Thanks

The later tool kit consisted of a black plastic tool bag containing the combined wheelbrace/starting handle, jack, hub cap remover and a 9inch box spanner: Here's a photo:

The box spanner Louise mentions is the spark plug spanner

Thanks for the replies. I will look out for a hubcap remover and spark plug box spanner. I have attached a pic of the jach , starting handle & the felt bag / cover they are stored in.[frame]

I like the bag, my vinyl sleeve is more holy than righteous! What did you use to de-rust the toolkit before painting and did you simply use masking tape on the thread / black jacking insert when painting red ?
