This may be stupid question no. 6 in a series of 1000 but what do the 4 bolts in the rear passengers footwells do? They don't appear to hold anything on or is this some dodgy special to clemantine?
There should be some either side to hold the ends of the seatbelt. If yours had different seatelts fitted - then changed it could easily be from that (it is better to fit a nut/bolt in the spare hole so the MOT man doesn't get confused)
These are extra to the seatbelt holes and there are 4 in each rear footwell
all have bolts in (look like standard morris items 1/2") and the bolt holes pattern on both sides seem to be the same ( rectangular about 11" x 8.5" betwwen centres)
Might be! Although I can't really compare with my only saloon. Be thankful you have some steel to bolt through, mines almost a flintstone car for the back passengers.

Be glad that it is 'almost'. I daren't lift the carpet on the Raymobile as I'm sure that is what is holding it together
You know it is rotten when the seats touch together at the top (crossmember collapsed and the torsion bar is now levering against the seats!!)

Well I'm bidding on a second hand car roller on E-bay so I'm not going to rule anything out. The Raymobile is realistically 'way beyond saving' but life is boring if one is always realistic
I'm still deciding whether clemantine is going to stick but coloured British telecom / council yellow it tends me towards buttercup /clemantine or saffron.
