I have been to see another 'original' (hopefully) convertible and just wondered if these bits look 'right'. Any help much appreciated.[frame]Image[/frame]

I see that the butterfly bolt is missing in the last picture and all that does is fix / hold the rear seat upright tight against the back panel. There should be one each side but from the looks of the picture above that one it seems the pop on pop off clip has been put on at a later stage to do the same job!

Don't remember my tourer looking like that. What is the blue grey horizontal panel above the split? Looks like a trim panel with a beaded edge.
Another clue to a genuine tourer is the absence of a courtesy light trip switch between the door hinges on the drivers (right) side.

I think the panel join in pic 1 is normal for saloons and convertibles - join between side panel and rear section.
Easy way to check is to feel the underside of the lip where the base of the roof would be spotwelded to. (You can sort of see it next to a light spot (screw end?) in pic 2) If it feels 'bumpy' ie: you can feel spotweld bumps, it has had a roof welded to it, if smooth, its never had a roof attached. Easy and foolproof way to tell if original or not....
