I have not been on here for ages as I am now Minorless but do look in from time to time.

Just to warn all those coming over on the next Minors on Tour to the Vendée, we are have petrol shortages over here at the moment so make sure your Minor is filled up before you leave the UK. Many service stations are dry and those open will allow you to have only 20 litres. You are not allowed to fill up jerricans.

Good warning - wretched CGT strikes (pun) again! Unfortunately a Minor tank holds so little - a 'tour' in unlikely to go far in the present circumstances.

Having heard from members who have arrived "early" there is petrol available in France - just make sure you fill up before leaving the UK!

They say it's 'easing' because the Gov has released emergency supplies - but the ghastly CGT won't be long in blocking the petrol stations. News says today has been a 'day of rage' in France. So I wouldn't be counting on any petrol...... And now power stations and roads and railways are being blocked too!

Is it true you can't carry jerry cans at the moment?

That's what they said on the BBC news a few days ago.
