Hi Guys.
I am contemplating the fate of a 1981 Morris Ital 1.3HLS - Yes i know this is Morris Minor Forum lol wait for it...
I know the front suspension/hub/brake set up is valued by you guys and this is an ital with the damper suspension - not just the lever arms. I need to know what the maximum value this set up has.
I have contacted some auctioneers and am awaiting valuations for the car so may restore him and auction it but so far the value of the parts by my estimation far outway the cars value as a car, sadly; and i'm only buying and selling these parts to try and fund getting a big healey 100/6 back on the road.
Is it ok to ask a valuation please?

About £200 max assuming the engine is in really good order. The disc brakes are of dubious value -they need much modification to fit a Minor.... Unless it it has a new MOT and is in rust free condition - I seriously doubt it would be worth 'auctioning' . But stick it on ebay and see what happens. There are a few masochists out there who quite like them.....

Yes, engine and possibly gearbox too are well sought after by Minorists. Disc brakes as well though conversion req to fit. Tele dampers aren't much use for Minors being very different on the top mounting, but very good for improving older Marinas...
However they are rare cars now and increasing in value, so unless a total rotbox, it may be worth more as a going concern. Try www.fastmarinamagazine.com for the Marina forum for advice and value etc and even if you do break for spares offer the rest on there...
