Can be - engine/box mounts, oil on the plate (any dripping?)/restraint cable too tight/sticky pedal action/axle loose in the U bolts and/or perches rotted away.. Start with the easy ones I suggest!

Well -too soft/ oil soaked - or broken away from the steel back. Is the tie-bar (beside the heater tap) ok ? You could try a burn-in. Top gear - handbrake on - rev up hard and lift foot straight off the clutch.

I gave it the burn up in 4th gear Roy. Certainly made a difference . Does this point to rear crank oil seal. There's no evidence of a leak

Well no - if there's no oil dripping I guess it's ok. Hopefully it was just needing a 'good workout' ......
