Time to fit the cab back on the chassis looked at most of the posts but just a few points
1/. The packer at the rear of the cab I understand is for adjustment and to clear the floor stabilisers , and the rest of the cab is fixed directly to the chassis with no packer between is that correct
2/ The two fixing holes either side of the prop tunnel at the back do these require the same packers .
3/ Besides these fixing points and the ones through the gearbox cover what others are there inside the cab

Your first point is right, the packing, in effect keeps the bolting up flange of the cab 'vertical' without packing when you try to bolt the cargo back to the cab, there would be a gap at the bottom, rather than pulling up square. 'Lifting' the cab with packing ensures the two parts touch all round. There is packing at the rearmost fixings, and on top of the highest point of the chassis that cushions the cargo area where it touches the chassis.

Are there any pictures of this? I looked in the van workshop manual but can't see it illustrated.

The two bolts that hold the handbrake lever down are fixing points.

Before putting the cab on, I would paint the top of the chassis that is covered by the tie plates with grease, or waxoyl or similar, because this is a prime area for moisture to be trapped, and rust to start.
