Shouldn't it be Whiskey (with an "e") if produced other than Haggisland?

It was Saturday, good whisky that.
I recall a certain Scotsman on this site informing me that whiskey is Irish and without the E is Scottish.
The English have adopted the Scots spelling.
The family that make it have supplied malt to Scottish producers for hundreds of years, it seems they decided to go that step further, anyway it is winning awards and tastes good, it aint cheap though.
