I had a green spare wheel with a line on it, but on my black wheels is nothing.
Because my black wheels are never repainted, and without a line, I did not notice it.
Was this line an option, or not for all wheels?
I repainted the green wheel, and the spare wheel, and now still have 2 wheels in the original paint, without any line.

Do I have to paint a line on the wheels to get him original, or not?[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]

Others might know better but.....
My feeling is that it was only fairly early "MMs" which had the line painted on the wheels. My highlight MM was all in original paint when I bought it and there was no sign of a painted line on any of the wheels.

My MM is May 1951 and when I bought it in 1976 it had the white line on all the wheels but someone before me could have painted them, who knows the car was 25 years old then

Yes. It also has SYN stencilled under the bonnet at the front on the right hand side when you look at it from the front.

One of my wheels still has the line painted on it, or I should say the remains of a line!
