Morris growing

Post by BLUE KEV »

Hi all I got the bug for Morris Minors 2yrs ago after a lot of welding on a customers car,it lingered until last year.Following a bad motorbike accident in 2014 I said to my other half you're never going to get back on the 1400 are you? and she said no.It was after this that I decided to buy a Morris as in my late teens early youth back in the 70's I used to buy, sell and restore them.I went on my honeymoon in a traveller that cost me £5 in 1975 out of a local scrap yard and took a few months to bring back to road worthiness. We also had two vans in the family business which was a commercial truck garage.
I did my usual Ebay search, bidding and winning a 1963 4 door from London that had been used to advertise a local cafe.I collected it and decided a strip back to bare shell required, which I did over christmas 2015,it was then I discovered the 40th rally was taking place this year and I wouldn't be able to get this ready in that time,so enter Juliet,Ebay again 1970 2 door won, collected sunday and although mechanically sound+12 months MOT will need my magic cosmetically to be at least presentable for the rally. So look forward to seeing you all in July at Catton Hall 10 mins from where I live...[frame]Image[/frame]

Looks great and cosmetically perfectly presentable compared to many!
