The number one thing that always puts me off a car advert is a lack of information and pictures that look like they were taken by Austin Powers on a trampoline, and the amount of people selling with no paper work is annoying, i went to look at a car last year and the owner said hehad owned the car for 5 years but had lost V5 after a few questions i realized the V5 he had lost was in the previous owners name, so i walked away.

Good grief - what a nasty looking 'thing'.... Why on earth would anyone think this is in any way a sensible idea ?

This made me chuckle, both ads are complete polar opposites, he even included a full picture of the underside. The other guy doesn't even have a full picture of the car.

The first car is a very rare convertible. The second is a MUCH more common saloon

Ah ok i can see more pictures now, its always best to include major details in the advert headline or people searching miss out.

I'm even more puzzled now, the seller for the convertible is apparently a professional car dealer, every ad is just as bad and yet they have 100% positive feedback? (but not a single picture of a whole car, or a good description for that matter).
Seems to me the seller could be legitimate, only with very bad ebay skills and even worse at photography.

Even more baffling is the fact that a supposedly "village coachworks" outfit don't even mention that it is a convertible.

Village idiots, more like!

I really shouldn't spend my time in this but read through his feedback and it does look like he's legitimate, so maybe an older guy with no computer skills leaving the Internet advertising and pictures to an uninterested niece/nephew/son...?
