hi, well im just about getting round to stripping the traveler, the nearside inner panel seem's ok ,but the offside is a no' no', the lip that fastens to the wood is rot, the old alloy to steel story.
Do i need to buy a complete inner wing or do they do a repair panel (with the lip) that can be welded on ? the rest seem's ok till i get a better look
regards
rear inner wing, on my traveler ?

Re: rear inner wing, on my traveler ?
The inner wings are a two part affair, the curved vertical arch and a separate flange. The flange contains the lip you mention, plus a large curved extension to the inner arch. The flange tapers from the wide part you see in the boot well to virtually nothing at the front. Both panels are quite expensive - there are patch panels available, but I've no experience of these. If you are replacing the wood Steve Foreman in the Ray Newell Traveller book (essential reading!) makes the sensible recommendation that you don't weld the flange until you have trial fitted the wood. Better to adapt the metal to the wood rather than the other way round!

Flange:

The inner wing is the same as the saloon, but you have to bend its outer edge flat where it meets the traveller flange:

Also the repair panels:
