So my trusty Traveller has now made 3 trips this year from Devon to Norfolk & back, due to needing to visit
my ailing aged mother & help my siblings manage things.
A 6.5 hour drive each way (inc. coffee break) & Millie the Traveller has performed amazingly in all weathers.
The only issue was a sticking fuel pump two weeks ago. I thought I'd fixed it but last Tuesday night on the M4 it kept letting me down. A bit of fettling & it got me to Norfolk in the early hours of Weds. morning.
Not what I need though whilst struggling between work & home commitments, & night time drives to see my old ma on days off!
A quick Tuesday night email to Bryan Gostling, holder of many Club Spares, who luckily for me lives in Norfolk not far from my destination resulted in meeting at Bryan's house the very next morning & buying a reconditioned fuel pump which I fitted there and then!
Safely on my way to see mum then, & a drive home during which Millie never missed a beat!
So a big thank you to Bryan for coming to my rescue!
