Off flea bay....They are BMW door reflectors. Will try and send you a link when i get on the main frame computer

The original ones never clean up well, remaining very matt.

While it's all apart anyway, it might be worth drilling out the mount and fitting a powerful red LED, fed from the brake lights. OK, it's no longer "original". But neither is having the car's rear end re-shaped by a BMW!

Is there any easy way to sort out the manky Morris trim badge that holds the reflector?

if the reflector in your badge is the only reflector on the back of your car it can not be replaced by a red LED and needs to remain a reflector. If on the other hand you have reflectors in the rear lights you can use the rear badge as a high level brake light.. If you look at the bottom of this post you will see what it can look like when done.
