Hi has anyone fitted a set of Ford KA seats to a 4 door Morris and what thoughts do you have as IE fitting original Morris seats or fitting the Ford seats...

I've just bought a 4 door that had KA seats in and i've put the originals back in.It was a very simple looking conversion with just a couple of bolts securing the front down and the rear supported with chocks to get a good driving position. All it was was 2 holes drilled in the chassis and a bolt going through to the undeside held by a nut!As long as it's a 'measure twice drill once' it really is a simple looking conversion.

Mine hasn't got any seatbelts though so I don't know how seatbelts would affect the conversion.

Mine is a 4 door, but like I say it hasn't got seatbelts fitted and the KA seat rails run very close to the gearbox tunnel,so that is something to watch out for.

Great can you remember if the lower seat base touched the rear doors or was there clearence.

There was a slight clearance, not much but there's no reason why any of the conversion will catch on anything :D

If you are intending to use the Morris for regular/ long runs the KA seats will certainly be more supportive and comfy. I'd keep the originals though so you (or a future owner) can swap back.
