I'm still new to travs so can someone please tell me what this area should look like?
The holes in the inner arch are an easy fix.

It looks worse than it is, but is there a panel that normally covers the open area here?

Thanks[frame]Image[/frame]

I think there should be a small lip on the edge of the closing panel but it wasnt enough to cover the whole on mine, I cut out a bit of heavy plastic for this area and slid it under the edge of the wing and over behind the inner wing, just to keep the water out and the plastic wont rust! Also easily removed to rust proof in there. :D

Rust is rarely not as bad as it looks, it is usually a lot worse than it looks. When you start digging away you usually have a pile of rust on the ground before you get to decent metal

Thanks all,
Wing off tomorrow to make the repair easy.

I'm pretty sure it's good and solid, I gave it plenty with a screwdriver all the way up to the apex of the inner arch. Proper stabbed it because if I'm welding anything in I may as well be sure the rest is ok :D

Both Wings need a bit of fettling and painting anyway so were going to be removed soon, probably not for a while but this has sped the plan up a bit.
