Wiring Towbar for LED
I want to wire a towbar and have the cables already in place as part of the new Autosparks wiring loom I fitted last year. Autosparks recon I don't need any other flasher unit than the original one but to be legal I think I need a repeater on the dash? Also I have an LED light bar for the small trailer I want to tow so would the LED lights require a different flasher unit or relay. I'm no Auto electrician so need help!

If you have an oil filter warning light on the speedo you can use that, disconnect the wire from the filter and connect it to the correct terminal on the flasher unit

But if you want it to only flash when the trailer is connected - you will need to bring a feed back from the trailer plug to get that signal.

All working fine now.
I ended up fitting a buzzer in the boot to make it legal. It was easier. Dont know how long I will be able to stand that noise though.
Thanks for the help
