Austin Maxi Reclining Seat Mechanism and Morris Minors

Hi, first post on the forum so apologies if this isn't in the right section. Some time ago I remember reading that the reclining seat mechanism used on the Minor was the same as that on the Austin Maxi. I've kept a set of Maxi front seats from a car we scrapped in 2001 with the intention of using them to make up some reclining from seats for the Minor.
Does anyone know if this is the case or not? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

The Maxi seats have a completely different mounting to the Minor. They are designed to fold down to make a double bed and will fold up to seats if you have the misfortune to have to drive the thing. With the usual seat base adapters you may be able to fit them into a Minor. The seats have no headrests and there are probably more modern seats that will fit better

I'd guess the very rare original reclining seats were made using standard BL parts so quite likely that Maxi parts were used. I've never been fortunate enough to have a set of original recliners, or even a Maxi, so don't know for certain but not many seat mechanisms to choose from at the time.
