Now, I'm starting to get a bit sceptical these days. The last few modern cars we've bought have been highly rated in the professional reviews but have been disappointing. They all scored very high on 'refinement '. Is this another word for 'boring '?
Because I have time on my hands at this time of the year, and whilst researching our recent car change, I compared what the professional reviewers think to how real owners have found their cars. There doesn't seem to be any correlation between the two. Cars rated highly by the reviewers don't seem to be loved by owners and vice versa.
Are the professional reviewers influenced by driving too many up-market cars? Can they see the wood for the trees?
What do you think?
