The pipe is missing that connects the two bowls.i assume it would run rough without this piece.only had a single su on my other moggie so it's all new to me

Certainly looks very tidy, guess I should have bid sooner (or more). How come it has an 'M' plate?

Hi,it was built using a brand new body shell and appeared in custom car mag.its history is immense I've got pics of it in different paint and tracked and spoke to the builder who was over the moon as he sold it in about 1984 .it spent the last 20 years stored with other custom cars.its done 18,000 miles since buikt.the underneath is still black hammerite no signs of rust anywhere.ill upload some old pics

I'll have a look through my 1970s CC mag stash. I went to a couple of CC shows back then so I may have seen it in the flesh back then. It looks well in the red scheme, the original paint was very much 'of it's time'. Now I'm even more annoyed with myself for not bidding!

Well the wife don't know I've bought this lol.but as I'm 50 now it reminds me of the boyhood car mags back then and I couldn't afford a wheel nut then so I hope it's going to be a nice project.i tell you one thing all the interior is the same as when built but the bucket seat doesn't agree with fat butt lol.i need to clean the red paint work underneath and the chrome diff needs a polish .only slight pitting on all the chrome.i have run this once but was a bugger to start kept cutting out so need to replace that missing pipe and service it.i don't like to keep these cars garaged I like to make use of them in the summer .
All the best
John

Old school custom, I like it :D
The fuel line looks to be T'd off to both carb so unless the new pipe is something fancy I doubt whether it's the cause of the rough running. Probably needs a good going over after being stored for so long. They are SU's so the normal checks apply, do the pistons lift and drop again with a nice free action, is there oil in the dash pots etc.
