Waxing Window Rubbers

Hello,
My copy of Staton Abbey's book "The Book of the Morris Minor 1000" says that "Wax polish can....be used to brighten the rubber mouldings around the windows and windscreen."
Anyone tried this? Might it stop black marks appearing on rags when I'm cleaning windows?

May even make it worse! But no harm trying it.

Autoglym do a tyre dressing, its a spray on stuff that you wipe with a sponge. When I do the tyres I use a tiny amount on the window rubbers and its always looks good after

I also use a Tyre dressing, you could also use one of the Back to Black plastic trim cleaners. It works just as well.

Silicone grease, just use a little and wipe off the excess. Restores the rubber. Its also sealed my targa top roof from leaking on my trial car. Dont do this if your planning on painting it soon tho.
