Right i have one of these slip rings mine I currently on the steering column directly on top of the support bracket which seems pointless so I assume its supposed to be elsewhere??[frame]Image[/frame]

It holds the horn push?

It is part of the horn contact at the top of the steering column. It is fitted to Minor 1000 models from about 1959 onwards. On those cars, the hornpush will not work without this part.
