I've got a chrome windscreen infill fitted to my lcv which looks a bit blingy, I was wondering if originally the infill was black on vans and pickups, anyone know please!

Chrome-plastic after 1966 - one piece rubber beforehand - the chrome finish usually peels off after 5yrs.

Thank Chris, I'm going to try to obtain a black infill, I think it will suit an lcv.

Woolies trim stock the black infill. You will need to know the size.

I thought I'd checked the Baines site out but maybe not! Thanks for that I've got a couple of leads now

I found a spare piece of chrome plastic infill, and found I was able to remove the chrome covering. With this discovery I attempted to peel of the covering on the van, whilst everything was still in place, and low and behold it worked fine!
The black infill that is available is quite softish rubber, so would not have the spreading power of the chrome plastic. Not that many will want to strip the chrome off but I think it suits the commercials. However the info may be of interest [frame][/frame]
