Teardrop trailer project NOW GONE

I've got a teardrop trailer, we bought it with our wedding present money, it lives in Devon where it rains a lot and it leaked.

The inside wood is mouldy and needs replacing, and sections of the outside need re doing and it needs sealing.

The towing gear is good but it needs a dry place to dry it out and find the rot and replace it.

I just don't have time to do it, real sad about it but such is life.

I paid £1000 for it just over a year ago.

free to a good home.

Failing this it's coming to work with me to start the bonfire next time.

Based near Plymouth in Devon.

If there is any interest I'll post a picture.

I could be interested, please post photos. Does it tow ok? Will a standard Morris pull it?

It tows fine yeh, it's quite small and light. I'm sure it would manage just fine behind a Morris, that was always my plan but my Morris was always in pieces....

I'll post photos tomorrow when I've got daylight!

Cheers!

Pictures as requested. Notice the mould on the inside, my plan was to strip out the soggy wood and replace it with 6mm ply throughout.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

I'm currently looking for a caravan - though were humans THAT short in the '50s/'60s?

I'm exactly 6ft tall and I can lie down in it, even with the storage cupboard that's in it, that I was planning on removing also!

Certainly has great potential, wouldn't cost that much to get straight - ply/fibrefudge and/or awning - shame it ain't on my doorstep.

Yeh I agree, it's the time I'm lacking now. I'm a man who takes on too many projects and I've just started an open university degree so something has to go!

Yeh it's been up there for a while, 6 out of 7 responses are alright. One of them is grumpy.

I'll leave it up here for a week or so then use it as giant kindling!

Put it in the For Sale section. I'm sure someone will want it - they may be able to get it up and running for the National rally :D

I wasn't sure if that was allowed it not being a car!

Not particularly helpful BMC. I'm a man who's made a mistake, can see that and am trying to rectify it and give someone the chance of having a better starting point than nothing for a teardrop before I burn it.

6 out of 7 dwarves aren't grumpy. Had to meet him sooner or later.

Fairplay, why £100. Why not 2 bags of coal

Haha!

The £100 isn't to soften the blow for me, more for my wife. At least I can take her out for dinner and alleviate my guilt....it was our wedding present money that bought it.
