fitting an early 1098 into a 1970 traveller

Heya guys So I thought this question was more suited here rather then the mechanical problem area

So I have found a possible replacement for my current dead engine in my traveller. But my problem is that with it being a 1970 model it has certain differences (Inspection panels etc.) Is it alright to transfer these parts over to the new engine or is this not possible. I plan on moving all anxillaries, carb, rocker cover etc.
Is this possible?
Thanks
Jordan

Unless you have a 1098cc 'A' Series engine with an engine number prefixed by 10CC everything is interchangeable.
The cam follower covers may be different but the openings are the same so the covers are interchangeable.

Ah that's alright then :) thought I'd better check before I fit the 1970 oil breather to find it will kill the engine :)
Thanks can't wait to get this new engine fitted
