Someone told me when a registration number from a car is sold or transferred to another car, it is not possible any more to get it on the road again?
Is this true?

It's issued with another number.

As above - when the Reg number is transferred a new 'age related' number and documents are issued (by DVLA in UK) for the car. The 'new' number is NON transferable . The car is if course usable and can be sold on with the new number.
