A member recently posted the web address of a supplier of second-hand Minor parts, and commented on the prices being reasonable. I meant to make a note of the details but now I can't find the original post!

Anyone else recall it? Or perhaps the original poster is reading this?!

Thx all!

Thanks Brian - that's the one!

But why wouldn't you use them? Have you had a bad experience with them, or is it because there's no contact details listed?

cheers

Be very wary of any organisation that has no phone number - or doesn't answer. You will get much better value for money by asking for the parts you need here - in the 'wanted' section - and also check the 'for sale' section. A 'parts dealer' will certainly be marking up their prices to make a profit - and who knows - maybe they are breaking up Minors - that may not always have been legally obtained....

Just to be clear, nobody is suggesting that there is anything wrong with a dealer marking things up to make a profit, that's what every trader will do if they are going to stay in business; and I'm sure that Roy is not suggesting any lack of legality in this case. However, as a general point the warnings are well made and worth heeding.
