Hi guys, wanting to hook booster vacuum pipe into the manifold of a 1098, question is where is best position on the intake to drill the hole for the pipe connection. I have been told to keep it as far away from carby intake as possible so I was thinking to put it on the elbow between 1 & 2 Pistons.
Any opinion appreciated. Ron

Re: Booster connection
Ron,
The easiest would be to remove and tap the carb spacer.

Or just not bother with what I assume is a vacuum brake servo. It doesn't make the brakes any better.... and properly serviced/in good order Minor brakes are perfectly satisfactory without a servo.

Re: Booster connection
I think servo'd brakes are handy if your knees are knackered!
Re: Booster connection
Indeed - there could be physical reasons for having a brake servo. It's a bit of a hassle to pipe one in to cover the front and rear brakes......

Re: Booster connection
Thanks for the replies will look at ESM. The lcv is a complete rebuild and trying to put in most improvements I can, knees are still ok but lord knows what's ahead. I have replaced original master cylinder for a dual cylinder conversion kit sourced locally so installing booster was quite easy and it sits quite neatly in the same spot using same mounting holes but having to drill holes for pipes exiting the chassis.
