"6" designation

Continuing with the numbers....

Chassis prefix - "6" = CKD LHD was this used, have none on my lists(?).

Introduction of "D" (Deluxe) what year introduced please?

Why is the total amount of GPO/PO given as 52745 - cab numbers make this impossible.

Confused?

Earliest recorded Oz LCV recorded with the "5" prefix to the chassis number?

you will need to contact the Register directly to request any info that they hold and due to our differences I have advised whom to contact

Have tried, no joy.

Found the answer to "6" query readily enough, surely the last 2 questions can be given equally as fast - via pm if you so choose(?)

Not sure who you have contacted recently, when was it?

Chris as I have already said you need to put your request to the Minor LCV Register not me

Could do, but what's the point in me wasting my time emailing someone who doesn't hold this information, only to be told by another that info cannot be released for reasons of Data Protection?

Is life long enough?

New Year's resolution - Charge enthusiasts before giving out information (is this where I've been going wrong?)

John

So exhausted with the constant struggle to acquire info - will be making a decision early January based upon the progress made with the book - continue, or knock it on the head.
SO much stupid detail included - would ppl be interested in B'ham vin plate colours or cab numbers?

Doubt it!

Be a shame to knock it on the head Chris. Sensible people with a real interest in minors appreciate what you are trying to do, and it's a real pity you find yourself beating your head against the wall.
You only live once, Chris, so if you think you are wasting your time, or putting yourself in an early grave, by striving to get this info, walk away. However, I think you would regret doing so, because this task is yours, and you are 70%, 80%, 90%? of the way there.
So make a new year resolution, one way or the other, but remember, you are appreciated for what you do, and the people you have helped all along the way will support that comment.

Certainly nearer the 80% mark!

Only really need a copy of the illusive LCV Register's "survivors" list - to assertain LCV Hm.Mkt/Export l& CKD models - and a few visits to BMIHT,Gaydon tbh.

Is a list of chassis numbers - with NO other information - covered by Data Protection?

I don't think there has been a survivors list since 2002.
Keep going, you don't want to be known as the Schubert of the lcv world. :D
