I have just purchased (eBay) a NOS indicator but seems to have extra wires compared to the original. Colours Green/Red, Green/White - for direction, Green - feed wire, Brown - Horn, but I have an addition Green plus a black wire. Any ideas?

I think the light green is the fed to the indicator light on the end of arm and the black is an earth.

I sure other will provide confirmation/correction

Hope this helps

If your car originally had trafficators, the original stalk would have had fewer wires. It sounds as if you have purchased a later stalk as a replacement?

Thanks ManyMinors for your help.
To be honest, I didn't look. It was an eBay steal of NOS for £5.99 inc. P&P. The original 1961 fitted one was for trafficators and has the green lamp connected in the switch to each indicator. It thus gives a 'free' continuity check on the opposite trafficator since the earth is derived via the coil. Mmm, wonder if there is a later wiring diagram? Further investigation will ensue!
