Electronic ignition replaces the points in the distributor, it will not alter the coil. Different coils can have different resistance, and the electronic ignition kit may specify a particular resistance range for the coil. If this is the case, then you will need to use a meter to measure the resistance of your coil to know whether it can be used or not.
There are pros and cons of fitting electronic ignition. You may find that spare points are more readily available (and certainly a lot cheaper).

Sandun, you can replace the points and condenser in your existing distributor with an electronic ignition module, it is quite simple to do. Accuspark here in the UK sell them. I did not need to change the coil either.
I have replaced mine and must admit the car runs much more smoothly now. I do keep a spare set of known working points and condenser in the boot in case of failure.
I don't know where you would get a electronic ignition module in your country.

Sandun - no idea what he is talking about. All coils are 'electric' ..... and I don't know of any coils used on the A series that are not oil filled. Modern cars use coils that are not oil filled - but they are very different ignition systems - and often have one coil for each spark plug.
