H1 carb float

Post by trabant »

Does anyone know where its possible to obtain the little metal lever Tha sits above the float and operates the valve in the float bowl of an H1 preferably without it costing daft money.these aren't included in a rebuild kit which seems a bit daft.

Have you tried Southern Carburettors or Burlen fuel systems, they are the two main suppliers.

Available from MOSS.
There should be a number tag attached to the carb as that will tell you what float lever is required
Pt No: AUC1981 is £5.95 plus the usual.
Pt No: AUC1980 is £11.80 plus the usual.
See link for details:-

To be honest fitting a S/H float lever is not a good idea as the H1 carb is a very old carb and the lever arm will invariably be worn into by the end of the needle.
You may be lucky and find a good one - but for the price of a new one I personally would not bother looking.
