Just curious to know if anyone has driven a Minor wth a 1275 Midget box and gear lever?

I have never had any problems with driving my Minor when fitted with the 1275cc gearbox and 1275cc gear lever and I do not have long arms :D
The version without the anti-vibration damper is the better bet.

The gear lever can be lengthened / personalised if required with very little difficulty.

Correct but the seat squab of the seat fitted at that time was about the same height and position as a standard Minor one.
When I worked in a village garage (over 40 years ago) in Gloucestershire we built up a new Minor for the bosses' son from a brand new body shell (one of the last) and which was fitted with a brand new 1275cc Midget engine and 1275cc Midget gearbox; and when I drove it with the standard seats I had no problem with the shorter gear lever.

As an aside but related - It is quite strange in that my wife always pulls the seat forward at least one if not two notches when she drives our modern car - she says she cannot reach the pedals and I invariably have to push the seat back at least one if not two notches and she is several inches taller than me :D

Thanks for the info. When the car is back on the road with the recon 1275 engine it will be fitted with MG Metro front seats. The Maestro?? seats previously fitted were raised by one inch square tubing on top of the adapter base
