I have been restoring my old girl for some time now 1952 seriesmm,I am now at the stage of sorting the engine. When cleaning it of all grime etc the top colour is green but on closer inspection the paint underneath is a blue/grey colour which I think is the original colour.I have been looking on the web at swatchits of BS4008 colours but its very difficult to compare to the engine colour.Has anybody got a blue/grey engine that they have repainted & if so what colour did you use
Thanks
BrianR

Both colors are original, I have a grey gearbox, one grey engine, and a 1951 original green engine.
That one got a new layer of paint, after checking it.
The local paintshop came with a landrover color, without knowing what type of part he got.[frame]

On the outside, the number CM457F1 is printed, together with landrover green from the period 50-60, it should work..
