difference between wings ?

Post by Olli »

Can someone explain the difference between the following front wing to me? Which of these three wings fits on my Minor year of construction February 1963 ?

Front Wing (Steel Genuine Heritage)

Front Wing (Steel Pattern)

Front Wing Modified For Small Sidelight (Heritage)

Thx Olli

Olli,

For Feb 1963 you should have these lights:

If you do then you want: Front Wing Modified For Small Sidelight (Heritage)

If you have the later light (October 1963 onwards):

Then you need: Front Wing (Steel Genuine Heritage) or Front Wing (Steel Pattern)

The Front Wing (Steel Genuine Heritage) is simply a better quality wing than the Front Wing (Steel Pattern) one.

I would say that LMC Hadrian pattern wings have the edge over the Heritage ones. The Heritage wings are produced from a slightly heavier guage steel but this is no substitute for better fit and shape found on the LMC wings. :D

Olli, East Sussex Minors will do a selection of genuine/heritage & pattern wings. Try their website http://www.morrisminorspares.co.uk/ - or call them tomorrow morning (0044 1580 200203).

Thanks, I already know ESM and my first plates there ordered. ESM has fast supplied, also to Germany. I think which I my fenders will order there shortly.

I checked times on my plates. There also Hadrian.

Is Hadrian the best manufacturer of plates?
Thx, Olli

Hadrian seems to be pretty much the best at the moment I think.

I ordered some body panels from ESM which arrived at the weekend and they have the 'Hadrian' stickers on. They seem pretty OK too, although I have not fitted them yet!
