The continuing faulty indicator saga…

Post by dustbru »

When I switch my right hand indicator on, it burns out my flasher unit. But it doesn’t happen when I put the left hand indicator on. I have renewed the wiring harness but the problem still exists. I have uncoupled the front right hand unit and I still have the same problem. Could it be there is a problem on the rear light? I have burnt three flasher units out. Any ideas, please?

When checking - remove the flasher can and just temporarily join the wires...... And yes - obviously there is a dead short in the wiring to the rear flasher lamp - but what value fuse are you using? The fuse should blow long before the flasher can 'burns out'.
