Hi,

I've taken my doors off and had to drill off the heads on the old screws for the bit where it connects in the middle with the swinging bar thing. Sorry don't know what it's called.

Anyway I need to order some new one's from ESM so anyone know what size they are or what they are called?

I believe you are referring to the door restraining rod/bar/strap.
The stay is secured to the door hinge pillar/post by qty 2 - 1/4" x 26TPI BSF screws
Moss part No: AJD4445Z. Currently unavailable from them at the present time.
See:
http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-mo ... traps.html
Pt No: 181.

If the screws you need are not available, then try for the brake drum retaing screws as they are practically the same thing and do a very good job.

The brake drum screws are 1/4" x 28 TPI UNF and unless you force them in which I would not recommend they will not fit.
This is what you want - just cut to length.

There are other suppliers on 'e' bay if required.

And here is the correct tap to suit.

The correct size drill for tapping a 1/4" BSF screw thread is 5.3mm.
