Hi all,
My Traveller came with no rear headliner fitted - but with a new one included, still packaged, a Newton Commercial item.
The instructions do not tie in with what I see/have before me...I seem to be missing some "wood finishers" perhaps as well as quite possibly a brain that can work out the puzzle!
I also found some clips in a bag in the car - are these part of the headliner assembly?
The weird thing is that I can see no additional parts on diagrams...what gives? Any help from you gurus out there much appreciated.

We have covered this in some detail before, so try a search. Also recommended is the Morris Minor Traveller book available from the Club shop. However, to give a few pointers...

Yes, you are missing the side capping rails. What do the clips look like? None are needed for the rear, but if they are sprung copper then they are for the fron headlining; if they are plastic then they are for the sun visors.

To fit the rear, mark the centre of the lining on the stitched hoops and also the centre of the wooden cross beams. Start with the rear beam (NOT the rear door frame, but one forward from there) and tack the centre of the lining hoop to the beam. The stitching should hang down a little bit from the beam. Take time to get this first tack correct. Now work out towards the side tacking as you go. Note that the rear most part will be left hanging doen in the boot area.

Repeat the above with the forward of the two beams. Now slightly more tricky, you have to tack the from part to the forward edge of the cab-roof join, taking care to stretch the material "just the right amount". A double layer of mater at the front (fold it over) gives the best result. There should be a piece of plyood in the front of the join, and you secure to that. The rear of the front lining is secured in the same way.

Now you need a cover piece/tensioner that screws to the rear door frame. This should be covered with matching material and then positioned against the lining hanging down and used to secure the lining to the rear frame.

At the front there should be a "angle iron" of moulded wood that is also covered in matching material and then used to cover the join bebtween front and rear sections. It is screwed to the cap-roof join.

The two pieces of covering material should be included in the kit.

Tack the edges of the lining to the top side rails of the car. Trim the material as required. Fit the capping rails to cover the tacks.

Looking at your photo you might also be missing the interior light mounting bracket, which on mine is central on the rear face of the cab roof join. You normally fit the interior light wiring before the headlining.

Here is a pic. of the clips, they look unrelated from what you have said, simmitc.

I have tried searches but to no avail, I will check out the book you mention.

Confusingly, I can not find these side capping rails on any diagrams or dealer sites.

I have no courtesy light fittings at all...another little job then!

When you get to page other rails are shown i.e right hand top and waist rails.

The picture below show the passenger side top and waist rails and the end of the front to back headliner join.

Ok, so it seems I am missing the following:

2 x side/inner top capping rails - ESM part T15AL & T15AR @ £20.50 each
1 x right angled front to back headliner joiner - ESM part not yet identified
1 x rear top roof rail - ESM part T10 @ £42.50

Could anyone possibly post a few photos of a finished headlining please?
