valve shrouds / stem seals

should the valve stem metal shroud part no 10m185 be fitted to all heads or only the the heads with o ring stem seals , i am just replacing my spring type stem seals and i noticed my spare head has shrouds fitted ,

Forget the shrouds....

The shrouds were fitted to try and keep some of the oil away from the valve stems
If you have the later valve guides with top hat seal locating grooves and top hat seals - as above you do not need the shrouds.
