Fitting a rev counter

Is it possible to fit a rev counter to a moggy. I heard that you can buy rev counters that measure the impulses of electric coming of the distributor, then it coverts the pulses into mechanical and gives you a reading. If so is it hard to do?

It's not hard to do but you will really need to convert to neg earth to use modern units........ They usually have 4 wires......... 1 = + from fusebox, 2 = earth, 3 = connection to - on coil, 4 = illumination.

yea am thinking of converting o neg earth so i can put a cd player in it. might aswell fit rev count too thanks.
