It's just a mini computer running XBMC, you could load it on an old laptop or PC and see what you can do with one.
Legal issues would only arise if you download copyright material from pirate sites.
Quite a lot of faffing about to get set up and working well, might be easier now than when I last played with it running on a Pi.

Thanks MB - it''s sold as a complete answer to watch all Sky Sports/Films etc etc all 'free' - just plug and watch. Wondered if anyone has any direct experience of the device.

If you click on the link marky has posted, then look to the right, you will see a photo link that says something that includes 'the best 5 addons' it's the one that lasts about 19 minutes. This shows you how to get free viewing. I managed to get through the first part and can get several programmes now, even though I got lost half way through. I surprised myself by doing this, as normally I only have to look at a computer and It does its own thing, very unstable. I certainly wouldn't like to be on a manned spacecraft with my system guiding it! Unfortunately I was prevented from getting Navi-x, which apparently gives access to virtually every programme going. You will, have to download xbmc.

Ignore my last post, the installation has corrupted, so looks like it's business as usual! :D

From where?
You would need a decent broadband connection to stream media.
