Exhaust rattle from aperture below manifold

Saw a pic somewhere a while ago of a small mod which was designed to help stop that rattle where the exhaust is very close to aperture as is leaves engine bay. It was a bracket that attached to pipe and engine block, I think.
Does anyone have any info on this or source etc?

Just connect the exhaust correctly - and check the engine steady bracket. Really no need for extra brackets on the exhaust - fix the problem, not the symptom....

It shouldn't really need a bracket in an ideal world, but sometimes the exhaust flange is a bit iffy. My exhaust used to keep getting dislodged slightly from the manifold outlet from driving down narrow lanes with too much grass growing up in the middle. Then it would clonk against the engine bay floor at idle. Wrapping some aluminium exhaust bandage round the joint before fitting the clamp sorted that - it gave a nice tight fit and hasn't been dislodged in ages - and the grass keeps getting higher!

You can stop the rattling by playing around withboth the exhaust supporting strap at the rear of the car and the manifold clamp.

loosen both, position a block of wood between aperature and exhaust, tighten both up.

Worked for me anyway. :D

Put a scissor jack under the pipe in front of the silencer and jack the front pipe in to position on the manifold, then fit and tighten the manifold clamp.
