Each user has their own profile and within that are board preferences. There is a switch to allow (or not) other users to send emails to the member. If that is set to not allow emails then you cannot send to them. It's the user's personal choice. The setting defaults to not allow, and unless the person you want to email sets their profile to allow, then there's nothing that can be done. For example, I cannot email you!

Why not just send them a PM or post a request for contact on their FS thread?

The OP did PM, but got no response. If the item is for sale in the "Cars" section, then we cannot post replies as the facility has been removed.
