At what position should the back door handle on a Traveller be when locked? I've got mine at 3-o-clock closed and push down to 6-o-clock to open, or is it just personal preference.

Mines the same, closed at 3 (after a good slam!) open at 6.

Closed at "3" and open at "6" does seem to be the norm and probably correct when referring to old photographs.

It also means that you're turning the handle clockwise, which is the most natural motion for the right-hand, aparrently. 'course I wouldn't know about such things, being a south-paw, but that's getting us right off topic, isn't it? :-)

Is this any help?

This is certainly true. Most cars I have seen are open at 6 and closed at 3, but this is NOT correct! (although more useful! )

The original positions are: open at 9 and closed at 6.
